Why do some people hate Harry Potter books and movies? I think it is just because the character catapulted its author to the billionaire’s list and most of the children’s
writer can only dream of such a success. If some people say that Harry Potter encourages sorcery, then it is utter nonsense. When there are thousands of Baba Bangalis out there who to my knowledge could not promote sorcery and pollute the minds of young and adults alike, how can an imaginative character like Harry Potter manage to cast his spell and pollute the minds? If it happens, then definitely there could be something wrong with the brain of the affected people. Also, mostly females appear to dislike Harry Potter because they are under the magic spells of Ekta Kapoor’s saas-bahu serials and not Harry Potter’s sorcery. Others have an opinion that they like real stuffs and Harry Potter’s theme is not easy for them to digest but majority of people always run from reality into the world’s of imagination which provides them with wholesome entertainment and Harry Potter manages to offer them that. Lastly, if there are still more people out there who hate Harry Potter then there is a wonderful reason for them to cheer and that is the bespectacled boy would not disturb them in their living room, libraries, drawing room or anywhere else from now onwards as his author has decided to lay him to rest , atleast that is what the media had reported.
